This Dibond® panel is 3 mm thick and white (colour reference RAL 9003). We call this type of panel, a sandwich panel, because it consists of three layers. The outer layers are made of 0.3 mm thick aluminium and the core is made from polyethylene. A material resistant to UV radiation, moisture and surrounding temperatures. This material is ideal for printing, which is why Dibond® white boards are widely used in the advertising and signage industry.
This white Dibond® sandwich panel consists of a polyethylene core and two outer layers of 0.3 millimetre thick aluminium. These outer layers are very durable and can tolerate various chemicals such as acids, bases, oils and strong solvents. Aluminium composite panels (ACP) can expand and shrink at varying temperatures. You can use the panel in temperatures from 50°C up to +80°C. When the panel warms up by 10 degrees, it expands 0.24 mm per linear metre.
Dibond® panels are easily machinable, from the aluminium outer layers through to the polyethylene core. Sawing, milling, painting, gluing, drilling are all no problem, provided you use good tools. For bonding Dibond® panels, we recommend using the quality products from the brand; Bostik. When you want to clean the panels, this can be done easily with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
This panel is UV-resistant, lightweight, easy to print on and process. This combined with the great appearance of the panel, opens up a world of possibilities. That is why you can find these panels used for both indoor and outdoor advertising applications. You will see them used for facade cladding, displays and billboards.
