You can see it in nearly every supermarket at the moment: transparent perspex screens that is suspended from the ceiling to create a partition between customers and cashiers. Plastic shielding at the checkout
With Covid-19 spreading rapidly, it’s now more important than it’s ever been for companies to ensure that the workplace is as safe and hygienic as possible, both for employees and for members of the public. Why does acrylic sheet protect against coronavirus?
As you probably know already, the coronavirus is spread mainly through droplets in the air from sneezes and coughs. A sneeze screen positioned in front of a cash register or counter acts as a barrier to these airborne droplets and protects cashiers, pharmacists and receptionists, amongst others. These shop counter screens help to separate uninfected people from those who may already have the disease. Types of plastic protective screens

We offer two standing variants in different sizes. The smaller counter or counter screen has one cutout and measures 60 cm wide x 80 cm high, so it’s ideal for shops with a small counter and with only one cash register. The larger sneeze screen with two cutouts is useful in areas with a larger counter area. For example, one slot can be used for the ATM and the other for pushing through the product purchased. We also offer a hanging perspex screen for checkouts, particularly useful for supermarkets and other locations that don’t have room to stand a sneeze screen on the counter.
