Football shirt framing with plastic sheets

We all have that one special football shirt that reminds us of a wonderful moment. Whether it’s a game you played yourself or a shirt of your favourite player, every shirt has a story. But how best to showcase that story? By framing it! And what could be better than using plastic sheets for this job?

What do you need to frame your shirt?

How does framing work?

You clamp three clear acrylic sheets together. The middle one is made with a DXF file to create a cut-out that follows the contours of the football shirt. You drill holes through all of the sheets, which is where the spacers will fall. You can also get the drill holes pre-cut via our calculator. The spacers clamp the three plates together. The spacers can be fixed to the wall with screws and plugs.

For the thicknesses, the outer two sheets may be thin. For example, 2 mm. The middle sheet should be slightly thicker to encompass the shirt, and if it has a collar, 3 mm would be recommended. When making your choice, take into account the thickness of the spacers, which should be between 8 to 10 mm in total.

Why frame a football shirt?

Framing a football shirt is not only a great way to preserve it, but also to show it off. It becomes a work of art, a beautiful focal point in any room or office.
