Mirrorfix-MS is an adhesive created specifically for installing mirror acrylic. The sealant has strong adhesion and lasting elasticity. These properties make it suitable for glueing mirror acrylic with different surfaces. On this page, you can read everything you need to know about Mirrorfix-MS.
With a volume of 290 ml and in white colour, Mirrorfix-MS is particularly suitable for use on mirror acrylic. Mirrorfix-MS contains no substances that might corrode through the plastic mirror layer. You can use Mirrorfix-MS on various surfaces, such as:
It is essential that the surface on which you apply Mirrorfix-MS is smooth and free of grease and dust. It is best to apply the product at temperatures between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius. Materials with which you cannot bond Mirrorfix-MS properly are PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene and bituminous surfaces.
For the best possible adhesion and curing, you should apply Mirrorfix-MS in a specific way. The crucial point is that the surface on which you apply the product is flat. Therefore, it is advisable to apply Mirrorfix-MS in, for example, vertical stripes without runs or accumulations. Accumulations can lead to moisture formation and, eventually, corrosion of the mirror layer.
Below we explain in three simple steps how to use Mirrorfix-MS.
Mirrorfix-MS is a product specifically made for use on mirror acrylic sheets. Mirrorfix-MS has very high initial adhesion, so it no longer needs support after contact. In addition, the product always remains elastic so that any shrinkage and expansion of the sheet can be absorbed. Apply Mirrorfix-MS to a maximum of 9 metres of adhesive length.
Tip!
Always ensure that the back of the acrylic mirror, particularly its edges, does not come into contact with moisture which can damage the mirror sheet. And attach your mirror within 15 minutes after applying the adhesive sealant.
