Polycarbonate is a strong and solid material. This means that this sheet is often used, for example, against vandalism, or for burglary-sensitive objects. But polycarbonate is also a big player in the food industry and in mechanical engineering. This is partly because this material can withstand high temperatures.
There are two types of polycarbonate sheets: solid and channel sheets. We offer only the solid version. Both solid sheets and channel sheets are widely used in translucent roof structures, such as canopies and awnings.
Polycarbonate is a material that can be processed very well. You can do this in the same way as with plexiglass. Drilling, sawing, milling and polishing it is even easier, because the chance of the material breaking is considerably lower.
Polycarbonate is a material with many positive properties, for example it is 250 times stronger than ordinary glass and also 2 times lighter. It is moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, fire-resistant and also self-extinguishing. And last but not least, the sheet is recyclable. What more could you want!
Your polycarbonate sheets are easy to maintain. Be careful when cleaning them though, as polycarbonate is more scratch-sensitive than regular glass. Therefore, avoid hard brushes, scouring pads and aggressive cleaning agents. A soft cloth and Burnus anti-static cleaner will get the job done in no time.
