Henri has transformed his own IKEA cabinet into a stunning display case for his handmade film miniatures. By using clear acrylic, he has protected his precious collection from his curious cats. This clever project was both creative and effective, ensuring that his unique miniatures are safe and visible.
The project
Henri has created a robust display case from an IKEA Kallax cabinet and clear acrylic. He designed and printed a mounting system for the cabinet using a 3D printer, ensuring the custom-cut acrylic sheets fit perfectly. The result is a beautiful and protective barrier for his collection. Henri says, "A fun project with a great result! Really pleased with it. ;)"
Step-by-step guide to make one yourself

Design
Design your mounting clips using a 3D builder or a similar programme.

Print your design with a 3D printer.

Cut
Cut the acrylic sheets to size so they fit your cabinet exactly.

Attach
Attach the clips to the cabinet and slide the acrylic sheets in.
