Acrylic table top with LED strips
Submitted byMason

Mason created an Acrylic Tabletop with LED lighting. The opal white acrylic combined with the riser wood, the brick wall, and the LED lighting gives a unique and super cool effect!
The project
Mason: "Previously, I had a wall on which only 5 shelves from Ikea were hanging, so I wanted to take this one in hand. I had already done more jobs in the house with scaffolding boards and now it was this wall's turn, but I had no knowledge of woodworking or anything like that. However, I did digitally make a picture in advance of what it should look like. From there, I set to work and along the way I polished up some things I hadn't anticipated beforehand. Measuring your plexiglass tabletop first, determining the sawing side and then fixing it. I am very happy with the result, especially with the opal white table top under which I also incorporated a Hue strip!"
Tip
Mason: "Decide in advance how high the table top should be. Many table legs have fixed dimensions. I was very lucky to find a manufacturer who makes this H-leg at 88cm high!"
