You’ll find the impact-resistant material Trespa® in many places, and there’s a good chance you have it somewhere in your own home, perhaps on the roofline or as a splashback in the kitchen. Trespa® is the brand name for HPL (High Pressure Laminate), a material made from compressed kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin, topped with a melamine resin layer. In our range, you’ll find HPL sheets from our own brand as well as Trespa®. Both are available in various colours and thicknesses.
How to work with Trespa®
Working with Trespa® is similar to working with hardwood. You can easily process Trespa® using a metal saw or drill. Keep in mind that Trespa® tends to expand and contract more quickly than other building materials, so it’s important to allow for an expansion gap where necessary. Trespa® can be installed using screws or glue. We offer special matching screws for each sheet. You can read all about this in our article ‘How to install Trespa®’.
