These HPL panels consist of compressed wood fibres, finished on both sides with an iron-strong resin layer. This prevents moisture from penetrating the panels. Thanks to the dense top layers, dirt does not adhere easily, making these boards very easy to clean. This makes them very suitable for use as kitchen splashbacks.
You can use this kitchen splashback with temperatures up to 100°C. Note: never place this plastic kitchen wall behind a gas cooker. Placing it behind electric and induction hobs is of course possible. The edges of HPL are also less resistant to long-term exposure to moisture, so it is important to seal the panel correctly.
Working with HPL is very similar to processing hardwood. HPL panels can be worked with hard steel tools, such as a hacksaw and drill. You can paint, drill, saw and mill this material.
