Description

This HPL sheet is 8 mm thick and is white with RAL 9016. The surface of the sheet is smooth with a silky glow. Both sides of the sheet are coloured. HPL sheets are a dense, hard material with a fixed form. They are well suited for both indoor and outdoor applications. This private label HPL sheet will be cut to size for you, free of charge.

Sustainable
HPL material is produced by soaking several layers of wood fibre and paper in phenolic resin and then compressing them under high temperature. This results in a rock-hard sheet with a UV resistant top layer. The HPL sheet won’t decay because moisture, sunlight, mould and wood rot cannot penetrate the dense surface of the material.

Low-maintenance
The life span of HPL sheets is 30 years and they are extremely low-maintenance. Cleaning an HPL sheet is simple because the material is impenetrable for dirt. Cleaning the sheets regularly with warm water and a mild cleaning product is all that is required. We recommend using a soft cloth or brush instead of an abrasive sponge, since this can leave the surface scratched and with a matt appearance.

Characteristics
HPL sheets have a few important characteristics. The following aspects are good to know about our private label HPL sheets:

  • Colour: white RAL 9016 (this is a colour indication; our sheets are not bound to RAL colours)
  • Maximum sheet size: 305 x 130 cm
  • Thickness top layer: 0.8 mm
  • Double sided: both sides can be used as visible side
  • UV and heat resistance: High
  • Life span: 30 years
  • When sawing HPL sheets to size, the edges can get slightly damaged. Unfortunately, this cannot be prevented. The possible damaged area will never be wider than 0.5 mm.
  • Thickness tolerance of 10%

Workability
HPL is an extremely tough plastic and can only be altered by using the right equipment. We recommend using tools that are suitable for working on hard wood. With the right tools, the following alterations can be accomplished:

  • Drilling
  • Painting

Applications
HPL is a versatile plastic that can be used for many different purposes. Indoors, HPL is regularly used in areas where hygiene plays an important role. Outdoors, HPL is used for many applications, including billboards and fascia boards.
