Who we are
PlasticSheetsShop is built on a practical idea: custom work in plastic shouldn’t be hard work. That is why we focus on one thing that we want to do extremely well: making fully customised plastic sheets easy and accessible for all makers.
Since starting in 2018, we have grown from a small initiative into a serious player in the UK. That growth isn’t a goal in itself; it is the result of constantly getting better at service, speed, and quality.
PlasticSheetsShop is part of Online Plastics Group B.V. Within the group, several specialised webshops in 9 countries work together on technology, logistics, and knowledge. For customers, that means: continuity, further development, and an organisation that structurally invests in production, innovation, and reliability.
Our history
We were founded in 2018 by Geert van Groningen and Jonathan Opdam. From their experience in custom work and online business, they saw that ordering fully customised plastic sheets was unnecessarily complicated.
By making the ordering process completely online and transparent, custom work became accessible for both private individuals and business users. In the years that followed, we invested step by step in our own production, automation, and logistics.
What started as a small scale initiative has grown into a professional e-commerce platform and part of an international group. The core has remained unchanged: delivering fully customised plastic sheets that are accessible in terms of size, ease, and speed.
What we do: fully customised plastic sheets
Customisation is the key
We don’t just deliver sheets; we deliver quality custom work. That means we produce plastic panel material to the specifications that the customer enters online. We aren’t just a middleman: the processing takes place in our own production environment, so we keep control over tolerances, reproducibility, and lead times.
In-house sawing, milling, and lasering
In our production, we work with modern machinery. For sawing, we use computer-controlled (panel) saws, which allow us to produce consistently and accurately. Additionally, we use CNC technology and laser technology for recesses, contours, or more complex shapes. We work with high-quality machines such as SEI lasers, Cosign, and Striebig.
What that means in concrete terms for the customer is: custom work isn’t limited to “straight sheets cut-to-size”, but can also involve shapes, recesses, and repeat work. The combination of sawing technique, CNC, and laser cutting makes it possible to efficiently produce both one-off projects and series with the same focus on accuracy.
Collection: 200 types of plastic sheets straight from stock
We supply more than 200+ different types of plastic panel materials. We supply known A-brands such as Trespa®, Alupanel®, Dibond®, Forex®, Perspex® as well as high-quality alternatives produced in Europe. Because we keep a large amount of stock, almost all materials are always directly available.

Sustainability and responsibility
Sustainability is in the way we produce and handle material. We offer more and more recycled plastics within our collection. For example, we sell a lot of panel material from the brand Greencast® (100% recycled acrylic). We also systematically separate residual material for reuse. Our production also runs partly on our own solar energy.
We have invested in our own recycling installation. Sawing and residual material is not disposed of as waste but ground into granules that are used again for the production of new panel material. This way, we limit waste and close material flows as much as possible.
We also make conscious choices when packaging. We use environmentally aware and recyclable packaging materials, such as cardboard and wood, and pack securely for transport with as little unnecessary material as possible. This ensures products arrive undamaged, with the lowest possible impact on the environment.
