Beautiful welcome sign from acrylic glass
1
Get
Decide whether you want transparent or frosted acrylic glass with a thickness of 3 mm. We can cut the sheet to the exact size, so you’re ready to get started straight away.
2
Design
Prepare the text in a programme like Cricut or Canva. Plan the layout beforehand to avoid mistakes later on.
3
Cut
Use a cutting plotter to cut the gold letters. Don’t have a plotter? Pre-made letter stickers work just fine too.
4
Clean
Thoroughly clean the acrylic glass using isopropanol to remove grease or dust, ensuring the foil adheres properly.
5
Apply
Carefully stick the vinyl letters onto the acrylic sheet. Use a spirit level to ensure everything lines up straight.
6
Add
Finish off the corners with gold flakes or gold leaf. Use gloves and tweezers for a neat application.
7
Set up
Place the completed sign on an easel or use special acrylic holders to keep it stable.

Top tips from Nesrin
“Go for high-quality, clear, or frosted acrylic glass that's at least 3 mm thick for a sturdy and professional look. Plan your design digitally before you start using tools like Cricut, Canva, or other software to determine fonts and layouts before sticking anything down. When applying the vinyl foil, be sure to use a spirit level to keep everything aligned perfectly. For the perfect golden accents in the corners, experiment with gold leaf and structured paste or shiny gold resin flakes for an artistic touch. Keep the protective film on the acrylic glass until the very end to avoid scratches. Clean any fingerprints with isopropanol or a microfibre cloth.”
