Martijn has transformed his dull, white door into a bold, industrial centrepiece using acrylic panels. With great care, he modified and reused the door without having to purchase a new one. The end result? A unique door that complements his interior and offers a modern appearance.
The project
Martijn wanted to refresh his interior by giving one of his doors a new look. He placed acrylic panels within an existing door to give it an industrial vibe. By cleverly using existing materials, he managed to create something innovative. Martijn says, “I wanted to do something different with one of the doors at home…”

Martijn’s tip
“Keep a close eye on the measurements of the slats! The frame of the door where the slats fit must be very straight, which is why I used milling to create a precise rectangle out of the existing door.”
