Applications for 6 mm polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a robust material, a property that makes the sheet widely used against vandalism, or for burglary-sensitive objects. But polycarbonate has also not gone unnoticed in the food industry and mechanical engineering. This is mainly because this material can withstand high temperatures.

Types of 6 mm polycarbonate

There are two types of polycarbonate sheets: solid and channel sheets. We offer only the solid version. Both solid sheets and channel sheets are widely used in translucent roof structures, such as canopies and awnings.

Processing possibilities

Polycarbonate sheets are easy to process. You can do this in the same way as with plexiglass. Drilling, sawing, milling and polishing them is even easier, as the chances of the material breaking are significantly lower.

Properties of 6 mm polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a material with many positive properties. It is 250 times stronger than ordinary glass and also 2 times lighter. It is moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, fire-resistant and also self-extinguishing. And last but not least, the sheet is recyclable.

Maintenance of 6 mm polycarbonate

Your polycarbonate sheets are easy to maintain. Be careful when cleaning, though, as polycarbonate is more scratch-sensitive than regular glass. Therefore, avoid hard brushes, scouring pads and aggressive cleaning agents. A soft cloth and Burnus anti-static cleaner will get the job done in no time.
